Requests to reschedule must be received at least two (2) full business days before the scheduled start date of the course. A $25 service fee will apply for rescheduling. A $40 service fee will apply for all withdrawals.
If cancellation/withdrawal/refund requests are received less than two (2) full business days before the scheduled start date of the course, 100% of the course fee will be forfeited.
Emergency First Aid Training equips you with knowledge to handle life- and limb-threatening injuries, including head injuries, open fractures, shock/loss of consciousness, and hemorrhages. Standard First Aid Training is a comprehensive 2-day course, teaching you everything included in Emergency First Aid, as well as how to manage emergency scenes, handling less serious injuries, such as burns, wound care, heat exhaustion, hypothermia, fractures, and more.
Employers usually require staff to have Standard First Aid Training. However, it is a good idea to confirm with your employer to clarify, or you can simply choose to take Standard First Aid which is the higher level course to make sure requirements are met.
Please wear comfortable clothing as we will be practicing life-saving skills with other students. Please also bring a pair of clean, slip-on shoes for indoors only to keep our practice area clean. All courses will have a written exam component in the end so please bring a pen/pencil and paper to take notes. It is essential that you stay hydrated throughout the course, and we ask that you bring a water bottle.
For Babysitter's First Aid Course, in addition to the above, please also bring a doll or teddy bear (build-a-bear size) about the size of a new baby, PEANUT FREE lunch/snack and drinks.

Upon arrival, your personal information needed for issuing a certificate will be collected in a digital format so that it can be stored on the Canadian Red Cross database.
Canadian Red Cross certificates are now virtual! A permanent virtual certificate will be emailed to you after you have completed the entire course. You can also view your manual and certification online at any time through your MyRedCross account. The certificate is valid for three years.
